Graepel-Star has a C-shaped contoured profile. The surface features holes (d = 16 mm) that open upwards towards the centre and holes (d = 4 mm) punched out towards the bottom. The embossing rises approximately 6 mm upwards. The free cross-section for standard grating widths is approximately 21%. Graepel-Star offers excellent slip resistance, a high void volume and a degree of drainage. The maximum embossed panel width is 460 mm.
Use
The design gave this pattern its name. Graepel Star gratings are therefore particularly suitable for use in industrial settings where lubricants pose a slip hazard: the serrated edges of the holes, with their upward-pointing tips, provide excellent slip resistance. The drainage holes channel these liquids downwards into appropriate collection containers.
