Graepel-Open is a C-shaped Graepel grating. Its surface is dominated by large holes punched outwards (d = approx. 36 mm), around which small, ring-shaped holes embossed upwards (d = 4 mm) are arranged. The embossing rises only slightly upwards. The open area is approx. 50%. The void volume and drainage are extremely high with Graepel-Open, and a certain degree of slip resistance is provided. The maximum embossed panel width is 810 mm.
Use
The Graepel-Open profile has been developed for walkways on containers and rail wagons. Its large open cross-section allows rainwater to drain away very effectively. The slip-resistant surface ensures safety underfoot for people on operating and inspection platforms. Graepel-Open can be used as an alternative to grating and offers the added benefit of slip resistance.
