Graepel-Metric is a C-shaped Graepel grating. Its pattern is a variant of Graepel-Universal: the hole diameters are the same (top d= 7 mm and bottom d= 14 mm), and the longitudinal spacing is 30 mm (compared to 40 mm for Graepel-Universal). The grating width can be manufactured in 25 mm increments (compared to 30 mm for Graepel-Universal). This smaller hole spacing gives this pattern a different appearance, properties and functionality. It appears lighter and more transparent and, at 32% for the maximum pattern width of 475 mm, has a higher open area than Graepel-Universal. Graepel-Metric also offers very good slip resistance and good drainage properties.
Use
The designation reflects the primary application in the industrial sector: Graepel gratings with the Graepel-Metric pattern are suitable for covering areas with a minimum side length of 1,000, 2,000 mm, etc., using standard gratings, thanks to their wide web spacing. There is no need for custom-made gratings, which must be manufactured separately as special gratings for other patterns.
