The Graepel Light Profile features a C-shaped contoured profile. Its surface is characterised by almost vertical ribs with serrated edges, which allow for virtually unrestricted visibility. Depending on the grating width, the open area ranges between 74 and 80 per cent, making it the highest of all Graepel embossed profiles. The Graepel light profile offers excellent drainage, very good slip resistance and water displacement, as well as high transverse stiffness. The maximum embossed panel width is 370 mm.
Use
Graepel light profiles are indispensable in mechanical and plant engineering wherever rain or high levels of dirt pose a safety hazard underfoot. They are used as walking surfaces on crushing plants and agricultural machinery, as walkable covers for bunkers and pits containing loose bulk materials such as grain or grain meal, as walkways in areas with extreme rainfall, for example on ski lifts, and wherever there is strong wind, such as on crane booms, etc. Platforms made from Graepel light profile for operator cabins provide a secure footing for maintenance purposes without obstructing the view of the work area through the platform.
Graepel light profile offers longer spans and additional slip resistance as an alternative to grating, whilst providing a similarly open surface.
