With this surface, rows of holes (d = 8 mm) embossed upwards and downwards alternate in the longitudinal direction. The open area for standard grating widths is approximately 6%. Graepel-Eco offers excellent slip resistance and displacement, as well as good drainage properties. The maximum embossed panel width is 460 mm. The 50 mm width increment, which allows metric areas to be fully covered with standard gratings, makes this embossing pattern particularly economical. This eliminates the need for custom-made gratings that would otherwise have to be manufactured separately.
Use
When laid lengthways, Graepel-Eco provides good guidance for the wheels of wheelchairs and walking aids, suitcases and trolleys, prams and pushchairs thanks to its straight rows of holes, making it easy to navigate. This makes Graepel-Eco ideal as a surface for escape and rescue routes, on wheelchair ramps and for lifting devices used for disabled access. On request, Graepel-Eco grating can also be supplied with a perforated leading edge on one side. We also offer straight stair treads in the Graepel-Eco pattern, which come with a perforated leading edge as standard.
