Sheet metal parts and perforated sheets for forklifts

Under the motto “Engineered to Customer,” Graepel works with you to develop sheet metal parts, perforated sheets, and assemblies for industrial trucks that are tailored to your specific requirements. Whether in continuous industrial use, when driving on uneven surfaces, or in outdoor applications—Graepel products rise to every challenge in warehouses, production facilities, or on construction sites.

The portfolio includes steps and footboards with pronounced slip resistance, enabling safe and ergonomic entry into the driver’s cab. The embossed or perforated surfaces ensure sure-footedness and help shed dirt and moisture.

In addition, we manufacture dimensionally stable hoods, body panels, and sheet metal trim, as well as perforated sheet metal, for a modern, robust body design. Structural components perform load-bearing functions within the vehicle architecture and ensure the necessary stability during operation. All sheet metal parts are designed for fatigue strength, corrosion resistance, and cost-effective series production.

Graepel product solutions are suitable for all types of industrial trucks: from forklifts and order pickers to ride-on or reach trucks, as well as automated guided vehicles (AGVs). Depending on the specific application (stacking, order picking, transporting, or handling), our components are custom-designed to meet the challenges of the respective work environment.

FAQ

We supply covers, hoods, and sheet metal components with KTL and powder coatings for OEMs in the intralogistics and industrial truck manufacturing sectors. The combination of cathodic dip coating (KTL) as a corrosion protection base and subsequent powder coating meets the requirements of leading manufacturers<s>. </s>Graepel’s special KTL guarantees seamless edge protection even on complex sheet metal geometries; powder coating provides lasting protection for visible surfaces against mechanical stress. Coating thicknesses, color standards (RAL/NCS), and gloss levels can be customized according to OEM specifications. A certified process chain from a single source—from sheet metal to the coated assembly.

We manufacture welded assemblies, welded steel structures, and frame components for manufacturers of industrial trucks and intralogistics systems—ranging from single units and small batches to mass production. Our welding processes include MIG/MAG, TIG, and stud welding; all welding work is performed by certified welders in accordance with DIN EN ISO 3834. We deliver parts fully machined, deburred, straightened, and coated upon request. We have experience with the requirements of OEMs in the industrial truck industry.

As a medium-sized sheet metal fabrication company based in Europe, we have many years of experience as a Tier 1 supplier to OEMs in the industrial truck and intralogistics industries. Our expertise covers the entire process chain: laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, cathodic electrocoating (KTL) and powder coating, as well as assembly. We operate in accordance with the quality and delivery requirements of leading industry manufacturers and are certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. We provide reference projects and supplier evaluations upon request.

As a supplier to the intralogistics and industrial truck industry, we are certified according to DIN EN ISO 3834-2 (comprehensive quality requirements for fusion welding). This standard certifies a fully documented and tested welding process chain—from the welding procedure specification (WPS) and the welding procedure qualification record (WPQR) to the qualification of welding professionals. For OEM supplier audits in intralogistics, DIN EN ISO 3834-2 is often a prerequisite for approval. Our certificate is available upon request; we can provide proof of validity and scope at any time.

We support manufacturers of industrial trucks and intralogistics systems starting from the early development phase—from concept through prototype construction to production-ready sheet metal parts. Our engineering team provides assistance with material selection, manufacturability analysis (DFM or FEM), weld design, and coating planning. We work directly with design and development departments and supply initial samples. We have experience with PPAP processes, FMEA support, and OEM-specific approval procedures.
