Perforated sheets and sheet metal parts for the automotive industry

Graepel manufactures high-quality sheet metal parts and assemblies for the automotive industry. These include load-bearing structural components made of solid sheet metal, as well as radiator grilles and ventilation grilles in visible areas, which are used in supercars, among other vehicles. These components are designed to withstand extreme conditions such as heat, stone chips, and corrosion, and meet the highest standards for stability and surface quality.

For exclusive SUVs, Graepel produces ladders and roof racks designed to withstand high mechanical stress during off-road use. Series production is carried out to the highest standards in accordance with the IATF standard and is equipped with state-of-the-art production facilities to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes.

FAQ

As a specialized manufacturer of metal grilles and radiator grilles for the premium automotive industry, we produce exclusive grilles and mesh panels for sports cars and luxury vehicles—from the prototype phase through to series production. Our expertise includes precision-stamped and laser-cut metal grilles made of steel, aluminum, and stainless steel that meet the highest design standards of renowned automotive brands. Upon request, we also supply fully pre-assembled units with application-specific coatings.

Yes – we develop and manufacture ventilation grilles and radiator grilles with high-temperature-resistant coatings for use in the engine compartment and exhaust system of motor vehicles. The processes we use include high-temperature ceramic coatings (rated up to 550 °C) and special powder coatings. All coatings are qualified according to customer-specific standards upon request.

We work with customers from the early concept and design phases onward to develop grills and mesh panels. Our engineering team provides support with material selection, feasibility analysis, prototyping, and design optimization—from CAD directly to the production part. This allows us to reduce development cycles and ensure that design and manufacturability align within a stable production process right from the start. We typically deliver prototypes quickly.

We manufacture perforated sheets and perforated metal grilles in small batches specifically for exclusive automotive and specialty vehicle projects. Our manufacturing processes enable precise hole patterns in custom geometries, allowing us to produce radiator grilles with sophisticated designs for specialty and one-of-a-kind vehicles. Materials: steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium upon request.

Unlike the plastic grilles widely used in the automotive industry, we manufacture radiator grilles and ventilation grilles exclusively from metal—steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Metal grilles offer significant advantages over plastic: much higher heat resistance, better resistance to stone chips, long-term dimensional stability, and a premium appearance that is required for sports cars and luxury vehicles. We supply both blanks for further processing and units ready for painting and installation.

We develop and manufacture metal radiator grilles and ventilation grilles for extreme operating conditions in the automotive industry. Our solutions are designed for three typical stress scenarios: high-temperature resistance (up to 550 °C), stone chip protection through reinforced grille geometries, and corrosion protection through stainless steel construction and/or application-specific coating systems. Upon request, customers receive material and test certificates in accordance with current automotive standards.
