Our activities in the regions where our facilities are located

Today, Graepel has a presence on three continents and in several regions. We see ourselves as an integral part of regional structures and contribute to local development through job creation, contract awards, and partnerships.

For us, economic and social responsibility means building and maintaining long-term relationships with communities, educational institutions, associations, and initiatives.

Local sourcing and short supply chains

We source approximately 95 percent of our goods within a defined radius of our locations. This allows us to reduce transportation emissions and support local businesses.

This principle applies to steel and other metals used for perforated sheets and sheet metal parts, as well as to services related to maintenance, logistics, and infrastructure. Suppliers are selected based on a balance of quality, reliability, and environmental considerations.

Partnerships with the Education Sector and Civil Society

Graepel collaborates with schools, training partners, and universities to spark young people’s interest in technical careers and metalworking. Internships, apprenticeships, and joint projects provide insights into the world of perforated sheet metal and sheet metal component manufacturing.

In addition, our locations support local projects in the areas of sports, culture, and social welfare. The goal is to contribute to a diverse and stable environment in which employees and their families live and work.

Community Involvement

At its locations, Graepel supports selected sports clubs and initiatives that strengthen community, team spirit, and regional ties. Sports bring people together, foster engagement, and provide young people in particular with opportunities for personal growth.

This commitment is part of our understanding of social responsibility and complements our collaboration with regional partners in education, business, and civil society.

Graepel and the Artland Dragons: A Partnership for Regional Sports

Graepel has been supporting the Artland Dragons as a top sponsor since 2022. The second-division team is an important part of regional sports, which Graepel actively supports—particularly in the areas of community and youth development.

In addition to financial support, the partnership also includes initiatives such as ticket giveaways for employees. This actively integrates the club into the company.

This commitment is rooted in a strong sense of regional connection and brings the company, the club, and the community closer together.
